The LOKET project (“Logistic Chain Coordination for Urban Construction”) addresses the critical challenges in Dutch urban construction, particularly in enhancing sustainability. In collaboration with TNO, UT, JADS, HU, industry partners, and government bodies, LOKET seeks to develop practical solutions for construction logistics. The project aims to overcome issues such as limited coordination and digitalization in urban construction by implementing Digital Twins and Building Information Modeling (BIM). Over three years, the project will explore how these digital tools can improve logistics planning, reduce emissions, and facilitate better coordination in inner-city construction projects like Utrecht’s Cartesius Quarter, Den Bosch Innovation Quarter, and Eindhoven Strijp. By leveraging digital innovations, LOKET strives to promote sustainable urban development and create more efficient construction logistics.
