JADS is a hotspot where researchers, data science students, start-ups, scale-ups and experts of the industry collaborate in developing cutting-edge, real-world solutions. Our ambition goes beyond being an academic leader in the field of data science.
Our aim is to play a key role in building a new ecosystem and accelerate the data driven economy in The Netherlands. We do this by connecting data science and entrepreneurship in many ways. From educating students and professionals to organizing events, to accelerating data driven start ups.

The JADS ecosystem
200 events per year
At JADS, we host some 200 events per year. Mariënburg is the perfect place for meetings, events and activities, such as student career days, academic masterclasses and conferences, business events, hackathons etc. Check out all of the events we host in the events calendar.
300+ partnerships
From startups to SMEs and large corporates, our business partners gain access to talent, high level knowledge and business opportunities. Already 300+ other organizations and businesses work with us to shape their data-driven future.
Active campus
The Mariënburg Campus is a data science hotspot. The campus offers modern education facilities, as well as space for startups and data science related companies. But, above all it is designed as a place where interaction, networking, training, education and the exchange of skills and know-how feed the data science community.
Strong network of alumni
From our Professional Education alumni to our EngD (formerly PDEng) and Master graduates, our alumni form a young, strong and solid network. Our graduates are active in all ranks of the Data Science world, in the Netherlands and worldwide, but keep strong ties with JADS and with each other.
Data Science start-up acceleration
The JADS Playground helps data science and entrepreneurship students create their own start-up. Within the playground we work together with capital venture organizations, accelerator programs and innovative SME, corporate or public organization.
