Data Driven project

Create value with your data by participating in a data project at the JADS MKB Datalab!

At the JADS MKB Datalab (MKB = SME in English), you get the chance to explore in an accessible way how Data Science and AI can strengthen your company through a project at the MKB Datalab. Together with our expert Data Science and AI students and experienced professionals, we offer a step-by-step process that takes your company to the next level of data-driven work, using tools such as the Data Maturity Scan, Data Project Canvas, Data Check and Data Project Template.

Whether you are just starting with data analytics or already have some experience, we guide you every step of the way to find practical solutions that align with your business goals and challenges. Our approach is structured and results-oriented, so you can take full advantage of the potential of Data Science and AI.

What does the Data project entail?

At the JADS MKB Datalab’s Data project, you will have the opportunity to create value with your data together with a Data Science and AI student, under the guidance of our team. The project has a duration of about 8 to 10 weeks, during which the student will spend an average of 60 to 80 hours on the project. The student will focus on analysing your company data, developing data-driven insights and providing solutions to improve your company’s performance and efficiency.

Whether identifying opportunities for financial growth, optimising costs, saving time, or developing new propositions or business models, the aim of the data project is to help your company achieve these goals step by step using Data Science and AI.

1. Intake

The first step is the intake and then we discuss your specific needs and goals. We identify the key data challenges within your company and determine how Data Science and AI can help. This initial conversation provides us with an in-depth understanding of your business processes, data flows and current technology infrastructure. We ask questions to understand what data you currently collect, how it is used, and what problems you hope to solve. Based on this information, we develop a plan that aligns with your strategy and growth ambitions.

2. Project proposal

The second step is the project proposal, in which we explore possible solutions and strategies together. Through interactive sessions, we generate ideas and define concrete steps. This forms the basis for a successful implementation. The proposal is aimed at increasing your knowledge about Data Science and AI, and identifying practical applications for your company. We use tools such as the Data Maturity Scan and the Data Project Canvas to map your current situation and identify potential areas for improvement. There is also room for discussion and brainstorming with our Data Science and AI students, which often leads to innovative and immediately applicable ideas.

3. Project

The third step is the project itself. Our Data Science and AI students get to work on implementing the solutions. This is done under the guidance of experienced professionals to ensure quality and effectiveness. During this step, students work independently, but are in close contact with your team (1 hour per week) to integrate the proposed data solutions into your business processes. This can range from building dashboards and developing predictive models to optimising existing systems. Through regular contact and progress reports, we keep you informed of progress and make sure the project stays on track.

4. Evaluation

After implementation, we evaluate the results together. We discuss the impact of the project and identify further areas for improvement in order to continuously optimise. This evaluation includes a thorough analysis of the results achieved compared to the goals set. We look at which strategies were most effective, which challenges we encountered and how these were overcome. In addition, we provide recommendations for future steps and potential follow-up projects. This step is crucial to ensure that your company continues to benefit from the implemented data solutions and to stimulate further growth and innovation.
