AI in the boardroom: from insight to responsible implementation!

Many healthcare organizations have the ambition to become a data-driven organization. This 2.5-day master class is aimed at strengthening the knowledge of data and AI among managers of healthcare organizations. You might be wondering if AI is actually being used wisely within your organization.
Do we actually have a clear vision for AI or an AI policy? Is the management of AI and algorithms well organized? And do we have a clear overview of how many algorithms are being used within the organization? With our academic specialists, we will delve deeper into these topics and see where the problems lie!

This masterclass was developed and is conducted in close cooperation with M&I/Partners; the strategic ICT consultancy for government and healthcare.

What will you learn.

After attending the Masterclass AI in the boardroom you:

  • Have developed a future vision of AI in healthcare, including anticipating new technological developments and exploring innovative healthcare models;
  • Can create policy and determine the organization’s position in relation to the AI the organization will face;
  • Can determine what the issues are in driving AI projects, algorithms or applications;
  • Know what your organization needs to comply with under the AVG and explain what the European AI regulation means for your organization;
  • Understand the basics of artificial intelligence (AI), including machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing;
  • Are able to identify various applications of AI in healthcare, including diagnostics, prognostics, treatment, patient care, and operational efficiency.

Designed for:

  • Directors of healthcare institutions

The program is open to administrators of healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, home care organizations, mental health agencies and other healthcare facilities. Dilemmas in care that we are addressing

The use of AI and data in healthcare brings both opportunities and dilemmas for healthcare administrators. Here are some key dilemmas that often come up:

  1. Data protection: healthcare executives must balance between protecting patient data and leveraging data for innovation;
  2. Privacy: strict regulations around patient data (such as GDPR) ensure high standards in data protection;
  3. Budget: investing in AI technologies while budgets are limited and the focus is on cost reduction;
  4. Ethics: AI applications must be fair, non-discriminatory and in the best interest of the patient;
  5. Autonomy: healthcare providers and patients should retain participation and control over healthcare decisions.
