Egge van der Poel joins forces with Soda Science, a start-up located at the JADS location in Den Bosch who helps organisations to achieve more impact by becoming data-driven, in this “Corona in kaart” initiative. In this webinar Egge and Colin (Soda Science) will explain how and why this initiative started and how together they came to the “Corona in kaart” map.
Currently, the corona approach in our country is determined on the basis of the ‘top of the pyramid’: the number of patients admitted to the ICU and the number of people who tested positive. General practitioners, nursing homes and many care providers need a better understanding of what is happening at the bottom of the pyramid: how many regular hospital beds do we need, how can we improve the functioning of general practitioners’ clinics and nursing homes?

General practitioners, nursing homes and many care providers need a better understanding of what is happening at the bottom of the pyramid: how many regular hospital beds do we need, how can we improve the functioning of general practitioners’ clinics and nursing homes? And at the most local level, the question is asked by GPs: is it safe to make my home visits, or is the risk too high that I myself will become infected and thus infect my patients? Since a week and a half a group of general practitioners, medical specialists, lawyers, data engineers, data analysts are working on a solution. The website www.coronainkaart.nl is now up and running.
