January 13, 2025, we are happy to welcome 7 new trainees to our EngD in Data Science program. Coming from 3 continents and 4 different countries, our program shows a great international influx.
Say hello to Anasuya, Coen, Filipe, Marton, Nikolaos, Nina and Aysenur (Aysenur is not included in the picture). We would like to wish all our trainees good luck and loads of fun this academic year. Together we can make it the best times of your life. Employees welcomed our new colleagues at our campus and toured them around in the city of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This group marks the 18th Generation of trainees starting with our engineering program in data science.
EngD: a more industry-oriented alternative to PhD with data driven opportunities for businesses
JADS offers the Engineering Doctorate Data Science EngD program. This two-year post-master’s program qualifies its students to become top-level professional data scientists. The program is a more industry-oriented alternative to PhD with data driven opportunities for businesses. Whilst a PhD is focused on a career as an independent researchers, an EngD prepares a trainee for an industrial career as a technological designer. As a student you work closely with a company with a real life case, and as a business your work together with the EngD data science trainees on the development of new models specifically for the organization.

Business opportunities EngD: develop new models
An EngD project offers a wide range of possibilities for a business. You can design and develop data driven decision-making processes based on real, actionable data for your organization. Work together with our EngD data science trainees on the development of new models specifically for your organization. This will be done during a dedicated data science project (10-12 months) at your company.

With the first EngD graduate walking across the stage in 2018, november 2024 marked an incredible achievement: welcoming and celebrating the 100th EngD graduate in JADS history!
