Timothy C. Hankins, MSc. is a PhD candidate within the Data Analytics team at JADS. His interests are centered around design theory, information flow analysis in complex systems, cognitive engineering, frameworks for decision-making, and methodological approaches to design.
His early career as a Sr. Software Engineer in industry focused on distributed systems for audio and healthcare applications. He holds two Master’s degrees: MA M.S.T. from Stanford University’s CCRMA, and an MSc. in Computer Science from the IT University of Copenhagen.
Later, his interests shifted to supporting problem-solving, creativity, and human health, using emerging machine learning and AI tools to analyze expert knowledge domains and design supportive interfaces.
JADS also participates in several (international) projects, which contribute to grand societal challenges like health, food security, smart transport and secure societies. Together with companies, government, NGO’s and other knowledge institutions, JADS works on solutions by using data.
